Pottery
Pottery is made by forming a ceramic (often clay) body into objects of a required shape and heating them to high temperatures in a kiln which removes all the water from the clay.
The island of Skopelos has an important and long history in pottery. Our workshops take place in the town’s oldest studio. Four generations of potters have been producing pieces of art as well as everyday objects. The Rodios family known for the discovery of the so called “black clay”,will take you on a journey through time, from the first time man discovered clay to the recent days.
Get the chance to make your own ceramics under the guidance of the Rodios family, decorate them, heat them up and take them away with you as a memorabilia item to remind you of Your Summer Home.Location: Chora
